Atrytone — terms for the alpha
Atrytone looks after apps built with AI: it reads your app's code, says in plain words what is wrong, and changes nothing without your yes. These are the terms for using it today, during the free alpha. It is early software, and a lawyer has not reviewed this text.
Who offers it: [OPERATOR: the provider's name and postal address]. Contact: hello@atrytone.ai, for these terms, support and data requests — a person answers within one working day.
1. What this is
Connect your app from GitHub, or upload its code. Once it is in, Atrytone reads your app's code after every change, and every night, and tells you in plain words what is wrong.
When you say yes to a fix, your own AI writes it on a copy of your code, your own tests run against it, and a second model — never the one that wrote the fix — checks the result before it reaches you as a pull request. You can also ask, in your own words, for a new feature or a new app; the alpha is early, and this does not yet work the same way for every app.
Atrytone merges the fix into your GitHub repository on your yes. It does not deploy: if your host publishes from GitHub, the merge goes live there.
The App can read your code and write branches, pull requests and check results. It cannot touch your repository's administration, secrets, actions, workflows or members.
These terms cover the free alpha only. Paid use will need its own terms, not yet written, and the AI Act review these terms describe in §8 would need revisiting too.
2. What we promise, and what we do not
We promise:
- Nothing reaches your repository without your yes. A fix runs on a copy first; your repository changes only when you say yes again, to merge it.
- A money limit you set. Every job carries the most it may cost, in dollars, and the work asks you before going over it. Working out a plan for a job costs a little on your own key, before you say yes to the job itself; nothing more is spent until that yes.
- Two models, never one. The model that writes a fix is never the one that checks it. We refuse to run it any other way.
- Your key, your provider, never ours. You connect your own AI key, or your own endpoint, and your work runs on that. We never run your work on a model we pay for.
- A record you can read. Every finished change gets a receipt. The record is append-only: our own app can only add a row to it, never change or remove one. A correction is a new row. You can read the Record page, download it a week at a time, and ask for a whole export.
- We say what we did not do. A refusal names what it could not do; a reading names what it could not see. If something is unknown, it is written down as unknown.
- An answer within one working day. Write to the contact address above and a person answers within one working day. It is one person, not a rota.
We do not promise:
- That a fix is right. Your own AI writes it, your own tests run against it, and a second model checks it — but any of the three can be wrong. Review the pull request yourself, as you would a colleague's, before you say yes to merge it.
- That your app is safe. Using Atrytone does not, on its own, satisfy any law. The check reads your app's code, not your running app, and every reading names what it could not read.
- Uptime. The alpha runs on limited infrastructure. If it is down, it is down.
- Support outside working days. A question sent on a Friday evening is answered on Monday.
- That the product will stay the same. It is being actively built; we may add to it or change what it does. A change to these terms is handled under §7, never applied quietly.
3. What you agree to
- You are at least 18 years old.
- If your code, your files or what you write in Atrytone hold other people's personal data and you use Atrytone for a business or an organisation, you are responsible for that data, and we handle it for you under our data processing terms (https://atrytone.ai/next/dpa, the version of 7 October 2026), which form part of these terms.
- You are entitled to connect the repository you connect, and to let an automated system write to it.
- You bring your own AI key, or your own endpoint, and you accept that provider's terms for the calls your work makes, including the calls made while working out a plan, before you say yes to a job.
- You will not use it to build something illegal, and you will not point it at a repository whose code you may not share with an AI provider.
- Files that look like secrets, such as
.envor key files, are withheld from the model. A secret written inside ordinary code cannot be told apart from code — so please do not commit one.
4. Money
The alpha is free. During the alpha, every app gets everything in Care, free. No card is asked for, and nothing is charged while we prove this works end to end on real apps. The prices shown on our Pricing page (https://atrytone.ai/next/pricing) are only so you know what is coming — never a quiet switch to a bill; a new price takes a new yes from you.
Your own AI provider bills you directly for the calls your work makes. We never see that bill, never touch it, and never add a markup.
5. Ending it
Either of us can stop at any time, for any reason or none. Remove the GitHub App from your repository and nothing more can be read from it; your project is then archived, not deleted. Ask, and your workspace and the rows that go with it are deleted — except the record's own rows, which cannot be removed without breaking the record itself; our privacy note says exactly what stays. Nothing you built with it stops working: the code is in your own repository, under your own account, merged only on your own yes.
6. Liability, said plainly
This is free, early software, and it changes your repository's code only with your yes. We are not liable for what it writes, what it costs at your AI provider, or what follows from a change you merged. If that is not acceptable, do not connect a repository you cannot afford to review.
In any case, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which in the free alpha is nothing. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow one: for intent, for gross negligence, or to rights a consumer cannot give up.
7. Changes to these terms
Changed terms are sent to you before they apply, never applied quietly. These terms are shown inside the product. You accept them once, and your acceptance is recorded as one entry naming this exact text. When the text changes, you are asked to accept the new version before you go on. Changed terms are also sent by e-mail, to the address you signed in with, at least 14 days before they take effect.
Governing law and courts: Estonian law governs these terms. A dispute goes first to Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus) in Tallinn. If you sign as a consumer rather than a business, you keep the protection of your own country's law and your right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.
8. The EU AI Act
This section says what Atrytone already does for the duties the EU AI Act can place on whoever provides or deploys a system like this, what we do not claim, and what stays yours to decide. Atrytone is treated as a limited/minimal-risk AI system, and as a deployer of general-purpose AI models: a provisional reading taken 1 September 2026, confirmed by the operator on 4 October 2026, not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
What Atrytone does:
- It keeps a record. Every act — every yes, every action taken or refused, every finished change — is one append-only row, with its reason and its price (Article 12, record-keeping).
- It asks a person before a fix merges. Nothing reaches your repository without your yes, and nothing in Atrytone can loosen that (Article 14, human oversight).
- It marks the commits and pull requests it opens as AI-made. Every commit and pull request Atrytone opens is made by AI models and marked as such, never presented as a person's own work (Article 50, transparency).
- It has an incident channel. Write to us, from inside the product, carries an incident box a person answers.
- It gives you a receipt and an audit binder. Every finished change's receipt carries its own instructions for checking it without trusting us — a verifiable receipt — and your whole record exports as an audit binder for anyone you show it to.
What we do not claim. No risk class under the Act, no conformity assessment, no certification under it, and no CE mark: none of these has been carried out or is claimed, and nothing here is the basis for claiming one without further legal review. This paragraph is revisited if the reading above is later revised, or when a lawyer reviews it.
What stays yours. Classifying what you build under the Act, and everything it asks of your own product, is your own classification and your own obligations — this document does not decide either for you.
Where the fuller version is. Two pages inside the product, "Using Atrytone" and "How your work is protected", go through this in more depth.
